Daily Dad Call: Make sure your prayers are specific.

:: Readers of my blog and books over the years are familiar with the phrase the "daily dad call," something I often used to segue into oddball conversations I had with my dad. This is that. ::

Me: Well, I got to thinking I'd been praying that God would keep my car running for a few more years. That it would hold up through daily wear and tear.

Dad: Yes?

Me: Then I realized, now that I'm without a job, I don't have to drive every day. So there is no more daily wear and tear.

Dad: Guess you gotta be careful what you pray for.

Specific prayers, people. Be specific.
