Is AOPA carrying water for the FAA?
Two articles carrying the standard narrative and standing up for the the Big Guys instead of the pilots sure makes it seem so.
In the April 2023 issue of the flagship magazine for the Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association (AOPA), the organization came out firmly in support of top FAA medical officer Dr. Susan Northrup.
They ran an official blurb on page 12, with a link to a longer online article that is little more than a disguised hit piece on any detractors (one in specific, which we’ll get to), using the same narrative we’ve been fed from government agencies. This is important to note: AOPA’s official policy appears to be in full support of the FAA’s recent policies, full support of the top medical official at the FAA, fully behind the mRNA shot, and very little support of anyone daring to ask questions on behalf of pilots. In other words, that’s not just an editorial or contributor piece. That’s the stance of AOPA.
Additionally, there is a second, longer article on page 28 entitled “Leave Dr. Northrup Alone” by Dr. Brent Blue, an AME practicing at the Driggs, Idaho airport. Blue doubles down on the position, as well as crafting a hit piece on the person who would dare call for Northrup’s resignation. If you’re curious as to the details of Blue’s position, he is still singing that the Moderna and Pfizer shots are effective, which even executives in those companies have shied away from at this point.
Dr. Blue will be eating those words soon enough.
Pardon me, but after the past three years, I don’t put any automatic trust in the whitecoats anymore. The medical profession did EVERYTHING wrong and turned on their own when any doctor or medical professional had the courage to speak out against Covidian Cult Narrative. Too many are still pretending that Remdesivir, Paxlovid, mRNA injections, masks, and whatever else makes them money (except off-patent off-label use medicines and vitamins) are still great solutions despite the incredible mountain of evidence that’s available to the contrary.
Why two articles in the AOPA magazine?
Perhaps they felt the need to do so because of an articles written by Steve Kirsch (like this one) in which he calls out Northrup and the FAA for what they’re doing to pilots.
AOPA, as a supposedly professional organization, dismisses Kirsch as a “blogger with a history of promoting conspiracy theories.” That’s code for “we are marching lockstep with what we are supposed to say in order to get along, so we’ll dismiss anyone outside of that realm as a conspiracy theorist.”
I’m a paying member of AOPA; am I to be dismissed, too?
AOPA doesn’t realize that a lot of serious investigative journalists have been forced to become bloggers because they could not, in good conscience, hide the truth as required to stay with an official media or publication. So don’t let the “conspiracy blogger” slur confuse you. Many of these bloggers, in fact, are on Substack, the home of the blog you’re reading, because it is a platform that won’t censor them.
But hey. Conspiracy blogger? There are worse things, particularly as the definitions keep changing (definitions like vaccination, anti-vaxxer, etc.) The moment you don’t believe Big Media/Govt/Corporate America’s story, you are a conspiracy theorist.
After 2020-2022, a lot of Americans are now full “conspiracy theorists” as they have seen narrative after narrative fall apart. Kirsch is not the easily-dismissed nutjob that AOPA is trying to paint him as, mind you, so shame on the AOPA and their publishing and editorial team for attacking the person instead of engaging in the extensive data and information Kirsch has been sharing.
Kirsch, who is fully “vaccinated” but no longer drinking the pandemic Kool-Aid, has pointed out that Northrup’s own husband, a pilot, refused the shots.
Finally, did you know that Susan’s husband, John Hyle, is a pilot. John refused to take the COVID vaccine due to safety concerns. So it’s not just a few “anti-vaxxers” spreading “misinformation.” Susan clearly realizes that intelligent people she clearly respects have legitimate concerns that cause them to refuse to take the shot.
If Kirsch is a mere wacky conspiratorial blogger, easily dismissed by the “anti-vaxxer” term thrown about by anyone daring to question the insistence that an untested injection should be taken, it’s time to talk to Northrup’s husband. Is he a conspiracy theorist, too? Does that reflect on Northrup?
In an age where government agencies and media companies are captured by corporate America (in this case, large pharmaceutical companies), it shouldn’t have surprised me to see AOPA come out in support of the FAA’s top doctor.
But foolishly, I still thought they would do their job as an advocate for pilots.
As in every industry and demographic across the nation, disability and excess death has exploded starting in 2021, and pilots are not unscathed by this trend. Unless you are purposefully choosing not to pay attention, your head stuck firmly the sand because you don’t want to come to grips about what you believed, said, and injected, you cannot possibly have missed what’s happening in aviation (and sports, and world) since the 2021 rollout (and mandates) of the experimental mRNA injection.
It will have to be a blog that will do the heavy lifting of truth; media and the publications of big money organizations clearly will not.
First, the FAA broke their own rules.
Early on, the shot was being forced on pilots with severely stunted study, and with experimental FDA approval (though actual FDA approval means nothing at this point). Pilots are very wary of taking even basic OTC and vitamin supplements, and even more cautious about what they tell their AME.
That is, until 2021, and 2022, the magical years when SOMETHING HAPPENED but everyone is pretending not to notice the young people and athletes—and yes, pilots—dropping dead or stroking out.
The foolish cover story is you could suffer from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (never really a thing until the magic years) from climate change, eating too many eggs, Daylight Savings time, and any number of other idiotic attempts to keep people from saying that which cannot be said: the mRNA “vaccinations” are killing and disabling people.
That would be the “FDA approved” shot, pushed on pilots as a rushed experimental approval, without waiting a year.
So enter the FAA, quietly changing EKG parameters, allowing readings that even other non-aviation doctors would find abnormal, not to mention the very strict aviation medical rules that have traditionally ruled the industry.
In the October 2022 version of the FAA Guide for Aviation Medical Examiners, the FAA quietly widened the EKG parameters beyond the normal range (from a PR max of .2 to unlimited). And they didn’t widen the range by a little. They widened it by a lot. It was done after the vaccine rollout.
What could it be that caused such a change?
Some miraculous new understanding of what a healthy heart is?
An FAA suddenly caring about the thousands of pilots who have lost their medical and their career, over the years, when their heart wasn’t up to top specs?
Or is it the actual acknowledgement of the FAA that the injections cause myocarditis, something that would have grounded you before the magic years? Could it be the amazing mixture of a pilot shortage and commercial airlines who forced their pilots to take the shot or hit the road now realizing that a large number of their pilots would lose their medical due to heart damage and blood clot issues, and pressure on the FAA to do something?
The collusion and head-in-the-sand aspect of denial, when it comes to these shots, is breathtaking. I distinctly remember strongly discussing this issue with some who were on the vax bandwagon, pointing out it was possible the shots would hurt the hearts and careers of pilots I knew. That was in 2021, before the explosion of data came out (including Pfizer’s own internal documents) that substantiated how the heart has been decimated by these kill shots (not to mention blood clots and strokes).
AOPA seems to be carrying water for the FAA, and for the official pandemic narrative.
Northrup might be lovely person and well-liked by the AOPA folks personally, and perhaps she didn’t agree with what the FAA as an agency was doing, but the reality is she chose to hold onto her job and stay silent, that nation-destroying activity so many people—private citizens, corporate lackeys, and government officials alike—chose to do. And as the leader and face of the medical aspect of the agency, it must be her head that rolls when this all works itself out.
AOPA is foolish to at least not differentiate their like of the person (Northrup) from their response to what the FAA and airlines have been doing; their silence is noticeable and, frankly, notable.
I have seen very little in the glossy AOPA magazine about what is happening to pilots though I am certain they must know. It is by no means difficult to come across stories of pilots who have lost their license due to myocarditis and/or pericarditis, who have had strokes or heart emergencies while flying, who have died in flight, prior to flight, or after landing, and who are trying to draw attention to what is going on. My news alerts for aviation are notably full of pilot health and death issues when in the past, it was far more mundane.
Nearly every pilot is a member of AOPA, often due to the legal and insurance protection. As a member myself, I’m extremely disappointed and disgusted in both their silence on airlines forcing experimental shots on pilots, their continued silence on growing data, and their support of the FAA people and policies that are harming pilots.
It may be time to form a new pilot and aircraft owner advocacy group (e.g. Freedom Flyers), one that isn’t so captured by outside interests and friendships that they would not speak the truth. Because if there is something they should have been advocating for in these past two years, it’s the truth about the health (and death) of pilots post experimental mRNA injection. To my knowledge, AOPA has done nothing of the sort.
In an industry where health (particularly heart health) can end your career and throw away hundreds of thousands of dollars in training and crushing dreams, AOPA should have been first in line on any topic pertaining to heart health and health freedom.
As it turns out, they have woefully dropped the ball, and may even be playing for the other side.
