A few years ago, I first heard the phrase “fat shaming.”
It was one of those reality shows, and they talked about the concept extensively, in negative terms. The gal in the show was large, wore rather revealing clothes, and when people stopped to notice (which I would think would be the point of wearing revealing clothes?), much discussion was had about fat shaming.
I wonder if I could use that fat shaming thing, I thought.
Despite my best efforts, though, it hasn’t worked effectively on my lard cat. I hung up a Big Boy sign, suggested there was a problem, and he continued to spackle the wall with cat food splatter.
