Welcome to Lone Prairie Magazine.
The general interest magazine that is generally interesting.
Lone Prairie Magazine is a digital publication that functions a bit like the junk drawer in your kitchen.
Somewhere at some point you will need something in it, and though you will find what you are looking for, you’ll also find a lot of other treasures in the process.
Or junk.
They are similar, after all.
For most of my adult life, I have blogged. I had a paper magazine for a while. I have also attempted several times to send a paper newsletter, but the cost of postage and the shockingly high number of mailings returned by the USPS, despite correct addresses, forced me to stop.
Blogging has changed, and newsletters are too pricey to mail, but my interest in both has not waned.
And so we have this latest version, the digital magazine, which wraps not only the regular blog posts under its wings, but also other content that doesn’t get sent out by email or what I’d consider “blogging” material. That includes a variety of topics (see the nav bar), content from the books and magazines I’ve published that you might have missed, and more.
It’s the classic general interest magazine, in which generally everyone might find something generally of interest generally speaking.
Enjoy this digital version of the Lone Prairie Magazine.
