Technology has not simplified our world but has made it too complex. No one in national or state political office today can track all of the issues. And to manage the complexity of the issues, we create bills and laws that are themselves too impenetrable and verbose for any one politician to understand.
In short, it’s no longer possible to hold anyone to anything because no one understands the depth of any of it.
We not only need to get the feds out of the state’s business, we need to get the state’s nose out of the county’s business. County level is about the only level at which anyone can grok anything and actually do anything about it. Everything else is verging on chaos.
